If your vehicle has a 7-way round connector like a Heavy-Duty, 7-Pole, Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket # PK11720 then you could use a Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47425 to allow you to tow a trailer with a flat 7-way connector.

Since you say your 1995 Volvo 960 Wagon did not come with a roof rack, I assume it has a bare roof with no side rails. I have a solution for you. The Rhino-Rack SG Roof Rack for Rain Gutters - Vortex Aero Crossbars - Aluminum - Black # RRSG59 will only fit certain models and years of Jeeps. Unfortunately, it will not fit your 1998 Volvo S90.
